Built From the Contractor Side.
Hello, I’m Taylor. I’m 35 years old and the founder of Service Contractor Growth. I’ve been a computer nerd since I was 8 years old back in 1999 the AOL dial up days, and I’ve been in the trades since I was 20 doing welding, carpentry, framing, plumbing and general handyman work.
Before SCG, I spent several years doing handyman work through TaskRabbit in Houston, where I was born and raised. I became an Elite Tasker, completed hundreds of jobs and built up 197 five star reviews.
TaskRabbit was only the beginning. I built my own website, started handing out business cards, building relationships, earning repeat work and referrals, and eventually built and ran my own handyman business, Taylor’s Tasking.
At 27, I moved 2000 miles away to Maine and shut the business down.
Looking back, I didn’t just wish I had a better website..

A lot of the everyday actions are built around one tap, so instead of customer information starting in one place and getting rebuilt somewhere else, the estimate form becomes the starting point for the entire job.

02Is SCG Field Hub really free for 30 days?
Yes. There is no setup fee to start the free 30 day Field Hub trial. If SCG is a good fit after your trial, you can continue on an ongoing plan starting at $99/month. If it is not a fit, simply do not continue with a paid plan.
03Does the website come with the free trial?
Yes. A personalized connected contractor website is included with your free 30 day Field Hub trial. It gives customers a simple place to submit their information, job details and photos so the request can flow directly into your Field Hub.
04Why is the website included?
Because it is built to connect directly with Field Hub. The estimate form collects customer info, job details, address and photos and sends everything into one organized workflow instead of leaving the information scattered across texts, emails and your phone.
05How do I apply for a free website build?
Use the Free Website Program application to tell me about your service business. I review applications for fit and available onboarding capacity. Applying is free and does not start your trial.
06Do my customers need to download Field Hub?
No. Field Hub is your business dashboard. Your customers do not need to download an app or create an SCG account. They use your connected website and estimate form like a normal website while you manage the workflow from Field Hub.
07How long does setup take?
Once you complete onboarding and provide the business details, photos or access needed, SCG generally aims to personalize and configure your Field Hub and connected website within 2–3 business days. Timing can vary based on client responsiveness and scope.
08When does my 30 day trial begin?
Your free 30 day trial starts once your customized website and SCG Field Hub dashboard are live and ready to use. Applying alone does not start your trial.
09Do I need to already own a domain?
No. During the free trial, SCG can host your connected website on a temporary web address at no cost. If you already own a domain, SCG can connect it instead. New domain registration is not included in the free trial.
10What happens after the 30 days?
If SCG is a good fit, you can continue with SCG Core for $99/month or Everything Handled for $149/month. Core keeps Field Hub active and your connected website hosted, maintained and supported by SCG. Everything Handled includes all of Core plus Google Business Profile setup, optimization and ongoing management. Both plans are month-to-month with no long-term contract.
11What if I do not continue after the free trial?
If you decide not to continue, your Field Hub access and SCG-hosted trial website end after the trial. You are not charged for an ongoing plan.
12What if I cancel an ongoing SCG plan later?
Field Hub access and SCG-managed website hosting, maintenance and support end when the paid service period ends. If you were on Everything Handled, SCG’s ongoing Google Business Profile management ends as well. Once you have continued as a paying customer, the finished customized website files are yours, subject to the Terms, and SCG can provide them for self-management elsewhere. Field Hub itself remains SCG software and is not transferred.
13What does Everything Handled include?
Everything Handled is $149/month and includes everything in SCG Core plus Google Business Profile setup and verification assistance, profile updates, project photos, service and service-area updates, up to four Google posts each month and basic review-response assistance. Google controls verification, eligibility, suspensions and rankings, so those outcomes cannot be guaranteed by SCG.
14Will the included website rank on Google?
The website is built with a solid technical and content foundation for search engines, but specific rankings cannot be guaranteed. Competition, location, business history, backlinks, Google systems and other factors affect search visibility.
